starting school in the fall at George<br />
Washington University for higher<br />
education and development. She<br />
is settled in at her new house in<br />
D.C. and is excited for Laf alums<br />
to visit!<br />

Dane Hanson intended to return<br />
to the States the end of May, after<br />
completing a 12-month tour in Iraq.<br />
He has seen many of the changes in<br />
the country since the war began in<br />
2003. (See photos online.) This<br />
summer, he will be spending time<br />
at Ft. Bragg, N.C. He looks<br />
forward to seeing <strong>Lafayette</strong> alums at<br />
Homecoming and <strong>Lafayette</strong>–Lehigh.<br />

Michael Elzinga and Bonnie Hoy<br />
are excited to share about the new<br />
addition to their family, Carter Hoy<br />
Elzinga, born Feb. 3 in Pasadena,<br />
Calif. He truly is a bundle of joy.<br />

Danielle Weaver and Stephen<br />
Gabriel got engaged the morning of<br />
New Year’s Eve. The two met their<br />
first year at <strong>Lafayette</strong>. They are<br />
planning a wedding for next June<br />
and hope to be married at Colton<br />
Chapel. They just bought a condo<br />
and are enjoying renovations and<br />
wedding planning. Congratulations,<br />
Danielle and Stephen!<br />
Megan Zaroda returned to the<br />
U.S. after spending time in China<br />
and works in Manhattan with PR<br />
agency Weber Shandwick’s global<br />
strategic media team. Welcome back,<br />
Megan, and congratulations on your<br />
new job!<br />
Meghan Baker worked at<br />
ABC News but moved to Fox to<br />
be a news editor for Foxnews.com.<br />
If that isn’t enough to keep her busy,<br />
she also signed up for the May 2<br />
Philly Broad Street Run 10-mile<br />
race. Good luck in your new job,<br />
Megan, and we hope you had a<br />
great race!<br />
Jess Cygler expected to graduate<br />
with a J.D. from Hofstra University<br />
School of Law in New York in May<br />
and will crack the bar exam this<br />
summer. She plans to practice family<br />
law in New York City. Congratulations<br />
on your graduation from law school,<br />
and best of luck on the bar!<br />

Sara Riddle works with General<br />
Electric Oil and Gas while taking<br />
graduate classes online at Georgia<br />
Tech for a master’s in mechanical<br />
engineering.<br />
Theodore Schick attends Temple<br />
University’s Beasley School of Law<br />
in Philadelphia as a full-time law<br />
student. Graduation is expected in<br />
2011. Also, as of June 2009, he is<br />
engaged to Kathryn Hamerslag.<br />
Congrats!<br />
Frances Morro works with<br />
Discover Hawaii Tours and planned<br />
to attend Chaminade University in<br />
the spring to get a master’s in school<br />
counseling.<br />
Kathleen Reddington completed<br />
her master’s in peace and conflict<br />
studies at the University of Sydney<br />
in Australia in November. She then<br />
spent a few months interning for<br />
the Clinton Foundation in the<br />
development department, until<br />
starting as the new administrator for<br />
Peace Action New York State.<br />
Brandon Mitchell is a first-year<br />
student in the physician assistant<br />
program at Nova Southeastern<br />
University in Jacksonville. He provided<br />
a picture of himself (see photo online)<br />
and a staff member at the white coat<br />
ceremony celebrating their introduction<br />
into the medical field.<br />
Doug Appel is at Temple University<br />
School of Podiatry in Philadelphia.<br />
Shelby Grabowski married<br />
Eli Hostetter Aug. 1 at the Hotel<br />
Hershey in Hershey, Pa. They<br />
honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii. Eli<br />
is a CPA for PricewaterHouseCoopers.<br />
Shelby is in her second year of law<br />
school at Widener Law. She attached<br />
a <strong>Lafayette</strong>–Lehigh picture the<br />
wedding photographer took<br />
(see online).<br />
