2002–2003<br />

and Sherry connected at our five-year<br />

reunion in 2007 and, as they say, the<br />

rest is history. The happy couple<br />

plans an October wedding.<br />

Alex Pelberg Slawter proudly<br />

reports that her sister, Liz Pelberg, is<br />

engaged to Joseph “JJ” Schariter.<br />

Liz and JJ plan an August wedding.<br />

Also in wedding-planning mode<br />

are Rachel Devlin and her fiancé,<br />

Robert Allen. They plan a September<br />

wedding. After <strong>Lafayette</strong>, Rachel<br />

received her MBA from Wagner<br />

<strong>College</strong>. She is an account<br />

manager with Bank of America<br />

in Newark, N.J.<br />

On Jan. 2, Jody Feldman married<br />

Courtney Valerio in Westport, Conn.<br />

Jody works in Manhattan as an<br />

associate with HSBC, the London<br />

bank. He works in the financial<br />

institutions group, providing<br />

financial advice for insurance<br />

companies.<br />

Matt Murphy and his wife,<br />

Angela Marucci Murphy ’03, are<br />

the proud parents of a baby girl.<br />

Their daughter, Madeline Elizabeth,<br />

was born Jan. 8.<br />

Erin Fitzpatrick Mackey and her<br />

husband, Allen, welcomed their son,<br />

Colin, to the world Jan. 19. He<br />

weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces,<br />

and was 21 inches long. Mom,<br />

dad, and baby are all doing well.<br />

Hi, classmates. It sounds like things<br />

are going well for everyone. Don’t<br />

forget to check out the alumni<br />

page on the <strong>Lafayette</strong> web site to<br />

see pictures, including new babies,<br />

recent weddings, and other fun stuff<br />

that people have sent.<br />

Mike Wade got engaged to<br />

Heather Alexander in December;<br />

they planned to marry in July and<br />

honeymoon in Hawaii. Mike bought<br />

a new house after the old one burned<br />

down, and he has a dog. Mike is<br />

working in Princeton, N.J., as the<br />

facilities manager for Novo Nordisk,<br />

a pharmaceutical company. He also<br />

wrote that Adam Decker got married<br />

to a wonderful girl named Lauren.<br />

Robyn Novick planned to marry<br />

Patrick DeRespinis at The Venetian<br />

in Garfield, N.J., June 27.<br />

Debbie Katchen is engaged to<br />

Jon-Paul Marnien ’02.<br />

Danielle Neufell is engaged<br />

to Andrew Mack. They plan to<br />

wed next July in the 1,000 Islands<br />

Region. Danielle and Andrew live<br />

in Flemington, N.J.<br />

Leigh Minarick met her<br />

husband, Dave Angeluzzi, while<br />

abroad in Florence, Italy, during<br />

<strong>Lafayette</strong>’s study abroad program<br />

her senior year. He was studying in<br />

Florence through Loyola <strong>College</strong>’s<br />

abroad program. They married<br />

Sept. 6 and honeymooned for<br />

three weeks in the Maldives, with a<br />

stopover in Dubai. Leigh and Dave<br />

were expecting their first baby, a little<br />

girl, due July 5. They live in Butler,<br />

N.J., and Leigh works for Atlantic<br />

Health.<br />

Amanda Carey Faulkner was<br />

excited to report that she and her<br />

husband, Jim, were expecting their<br />

first child, a baby girl, June 15.<br />

Angela Marucci Murphy and<br />

husband Matthew ’02 are excited<br />

to announce the birth of their first<br />

daughter, Madeline Elizabeth, born<br />

Jan. 8.<br />

Heather Badamo is a Chester<br />

Dale Fellow at the Metropolitan<br />

Museum of Art in New York.<br />

Juliana Spagnolo Raimondi<br />

was married Oct. 17. She completed<br />

a grad program at UC–Berkeley<br />

for architecture. Currently, she is<br />

studying for the GREs, working on<br />

her portfolio, and applying for her<br />

M.Arch. to matriculate in the fall.<br />

Dr. Abigail Stringer Willitsford<br />

and her husband, Dr. Adam<br />

Willitsford ’02, enjoy living in<br />

Louisville, Ky. In April, Abby was<br />

elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon,<br />

the national dental honor society,<br />

and in May, she received her Doctor<br />

of Dental Medicine degree from the<br />

University of Louisville School of<br />

Dentistry. She is a dental resident at<br />

the University of Louisville Hospital.<br />

In their spare time, Abby and Adam<br />

enjoy traveling, kayaking, hiking, and<br />

playing with their new dog, Spencer.<br />

Melissa Mitchell Pizarro started<br />

a new job as associate director of<br />

parents programs at Swarthmore<br />

<strong>College</strong> in September, and she loves<br />

it! Melissa and her husband, Derek<br />

’04, spent Christmas and New Year’s<br />

in Hawaii with their family, visiting<br />

Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island. In<br />

June, Derek and Melissa intended to<br />

head to Italy (with stops in Florence<br />

and Rome) and the Seychelles<br />

Islands.<br />

Farisai Maguwah will return to<br />

school this fall at the University of<br />

Texas at Austin’s McCombs School<br />

of Business for an MBA in finance.<br />

Erica Neri graduated from<br />

Massachusetts <strong>College</strong> of Pharmacy<br />

and Health Sciences in December<br />

with a master’s in physician assistant<br />

studies. She will be working as a<br />

PA in the emergency department at<br />

Brigham and Women’s Hospital in<br />

Boston starting in July.<br />

Jen Tonkin wrote in her update<br />

that “after getting my master’s in<br />

applied math from the University of<br />

Delaware, I taught for one year at<br />

Temple University and Mercer<br />

County Community <strong>College</strong> in New<br />

Jersey. I am now in my fourth year at<br />

The Key School in Annapolis, Md.<br />

Starting in the fall, I will take over<br />

the mathematics department chair of<br />

the Upper School. I am excited<br />

about this new post and the<br />

challenges and opportunities that it<br />

will bring. I work with great people<br />

and amazing students and always try<br />

to recruit for <strong>Lafayette</strong>. One of my<br />

first calculus students is now a junior<br />

at <strong>Lafayette</strong>, but I’m afraid to say<br />

that I write too many letters for<br />

students who end up at Lehigh! One<br />

of the great things about teaching is<br />

having the summers off to travel.<br />

Last summer, I spent 10 days in<br />

Hawaii with Janine Stavrovksy.<br />

She’s been living on the Big Island<br />

since 2005 and was able to show me<br />

some amazing sites. We put our<br />

geology classes and time spent<br />

sunning on the Quad to good use<br />

out there! I also traveled to<br />

Breckenridge, Colo., for Stacey<br />

Wagner’s wedding, along with<br />
