<strong>The</strong> <strong>Navy</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Canada</strong><br />
Corps <strong>of</strong>ficers are automatically Associate Members <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Branch which sponsors their corps. (see By-Law 3.1.02) <strong>The</strong>y<br />
may attend Branch meetings, but cannot vote and cannot hold<br />
a position on Branch Council. Only Regular Members can be<br />
elected or appointed to positions within the Branch.<br />
Corps Commanding Officers should be invited to attend<br />
Branch or Committee meetings in an advisory, non-voting<br />
capacity.<br />
Duties <strong>of</strong> Branch Officials<br />
President<br />
<strong>The</strong> President is the senior <strong>Navy</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficial in the Branch.<br />
As such he must be kept informed <strong>of</strong> all Committee and Corps<br />
activities and must be the central figure in all local <strong>Navy</strong><br />
<strong>League</strong> functions.<br />
It is essential that all contacts with Division and other<br />
organizations outside the Branch be routed through or<br />
approved by the President.<br />
<strong>The</strong> President shall:<br />

Direct all activities <strong>of</strong> the Branch;<br />
Preside over Branch meetings;<br />
