<strong>The</strong> <strong>Navy</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Canada</strong><br />
c) relay the successes that have been accomplished by<br />
our organization at all levels;<br />
d) provide the information required by the news media<br />
so that they do not always have to search out the<br />
information required;<br />
e) extend courtesies to members <strong>of</strong> radio, press and<br />
television. <strong>The</strong>y are not our servants and we should show<br />
our appreciation <strong>of</strong> their efforts on our behalf;<br />
f) ensure that members <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Navy</strong> <strong>League</strong>, as<br />
partners, get equal billing with members <strong>of</strong> the Department<br />
<strong>of</strong> National Defence;<br />
g) from time to time express formal appreciation for<br />
publicity received.<br />
If we cannot exist without public support it is obvious that such<br />
support can best be obtained with the co-operation <strong>of</strong> the news<br />
media.<br />
