Darl Dillabough is just one of three pharmacists
ready to serve you at the new modern location of The
Dispensary, Remedy’s Rx, in Bracebridge.
Also on staff at the drug store are pharmacists Connor
Moggach, and Luciano Bianconi.
Dillabough opened The Dispensary in 1995. He
first came to Bracebridge in 1971 and finished his
high school years here before going on to study pharmacy
at the University of Manitoba. He then worked
in Lindsay and Fenelon Falls in the 1980s before
returning to Muskoka in 1989.
The Dispensary was a fixture at the southern part of
Manitoba Street for five years before moving to the
medical centre location in 2000. Dillabough is looking
forward to serving his many loyal customers and
meeting many new ones in the new location.
Dillabough, and his Bracebridge born and raised
wife Loisanne (Lee), have three adult children and
two grandchildren living in the area.
“They are a lot of fun and they keep us busy,” he
says.
Connor Moggach has been working full time as a
pharmacist at The Dispensary for just over a year. She
was born and raised in North Bay and graduated from
the University of Toronto in 2006.
“Anyone who has dealt with Connor in the last year
will appreciate her pleasant and informative manner,”
says Dillabough. “She is young and energetic. She is
always updating, getting information for pharmacy
and always looking at new avenues where we can
expand services for our patients.”
Moggach recently married fellow pharmacist Trevor
Russell in May 2009. Before coming to Bracebridge
she worked in an independent pharmacy in North
Bay.
“I like the lifestyle here,” she says. “There is more of
a community feel and more laid back than in the big
city. I like the opportunity to be involved in the community.”
She also enjoys Muskoka’s natural surroundings by
hiking, canoeing and kayaking. Moggach and Russell
bought a house and are busy with renovations
and repairs.
“We are setting down roots,” says Moggach.
Luciano Bianconi, one of Dillabough’s long-time
friends from Lindsay, works part-time in The Dispensary,
rounding out the team of pharmacists.
“I got married and moved to Huntsville,” says Bianconi,
who was the director of the pharmacy at Ross
Memorial Hospital in Lindsay for about 20 years.
“It was time for a career change,” he says. “I wanted
to get back to community pharmacy and dealing
directly with the people.”
With two other pharmacists on staff, Dillabough
and The Dispensary always have someone ready to
help you with your health care needs.
