Dual Application Kits
All stocked accessories have
prices listed in purple and will be
delivered in 3 - 5 working days.
Dual application is a great way to warm your towels during the summer months when the main heating system is
turned off. Adapting your towel rail to dual fuel is easy to achieve; a separate ‘T-piece’ or Dual Application valve is
used to allow the installation of an electric element alongside the standard water feed pipe.
Follow these simple stages to select the correct Dual Application Kit for your towel rail.
1. Valve Configurations
The pictures opposite show a
Poll Chrome with three valve
options, two showing the
addition of an electric element;
note the positions of the valve
tail for the water pipe, in each
option.
All radiators will require a valve,
select either a T-piece or a Dual
Application valve to suit your
installation.
2. Types of Element
There are three types of electric element to choose from;
A) Basic; this element has
basic functionality, it maintains a
constant heat and is either on or
off. Control is via a switched fused
spur the neon light indicates if the
element is on.
B) Manual Thermostatic; these elements
monitor the temperature of the towel rail and
activate the element as required. They have
a range of set temperature options which
can be selected manually.
C) Digital thermostatic; an
element with the facility to
set desired temperature and
operational periods. Fully
programmable with digital control
panel & display.
3. How to choose your Element
It is important to select the correct size element for your towel
rail. Too small and it will not provide enough heat, too large and
it can burn out.
The chart opposite will help you choose the right size element; we
have listed the towel rail output in watts and the corresponding
recommended size of element.
