Ancona ® Range shown on pages 54 - 62 (for quick introduction see page 138)
Ordering your Ancona
The Ancona range is incredibly versatile with literally hundreds of possible sizes, in a choice of 4 mounting options.
The Ancona Made to Order range also offers a choice of 199 colours.
• All prices and outputs are given per section
• Price per section includes plugs, bushes, air vent & wall ties.
• Please specify with Cast Feet, Wall Brackets or Welded Feet when you place your order.
These simple steps will help you choose a product that matches your requirements.
1 – Calculate the output & number of radiators
To find the output you require for each radiator first work out the heat output for your room. For a more detailed explanation
please see pages 160 - 161 or visit our website at www.theradiatorcompany.co.uk
If you have a large room, divide this number by the total number of radiators you need in the room. e.g. a lounge 16’ x 20’ x 8’
ceilings = a volume of 2560 x 6 = 15,360 BTUs. Two radiators would be required which = 7680 BTUs each. Your installer will
also be able to help you decide this, if required. We also list the outputs in Watts.
2 – Choose the number of Columns
Made to Order Ancona’s are available in a choice of five column depths; 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 columns. More columns equals greater
depth, bigger water content and therefore a higher output, however choice is generally down to aesthetics.
Stock Ancona’s are available in a choice of three column depths, 2, 3 and 4 columns.
3 – Choose a Height
Made to Order Ancona’s: All of the column depths are available in a range of 15 heights. Decide on a section height that
matches the size you require, allowing an additional 100mm for cast feet or 105mm for welded feet.
Stock Ancona’s: Column depths are available in a range of heights, from 300mm to 1800mm. Decide on a section height that
matches the size you require, allowing an additional 100mm for cast feet. For the Stocked Ancona’s with slip on welded feet
please allow an extra 80mm in height.
4 – Calculate the number of sections you require
Listed next to each section height under ‘BTUs/Watts’ will be the output each section gives. Divide your required output by this
number to find the total number of sections needed to match the output; e.g. if you have chosen a 3 column 600mm high then
7680 BTUs divided by 205 BTUs per section = 38 sections.
5 – Size the finished product & double check
Each section regardless of how many columns it has is 46mm wide, therefore a 38 section radiator will equal 38 x 46mm = 1748mm
wide, plus 24mm bushes plus valves. If this is too wide then either increase the height of each section or choose a section with more
columns. For example; 3 column 750mm high = 7680 BTUs divided by 256 BTUs per section = 30 sections = 1380mm wide.
or 4 column 600mm high = 7680 BTUs divided by 263 BTUs per section = 29 sections = 1343mm wide.
6 – Choose the mounting option
Made to Order Ancona’s: Your Ancona can be supplied in one of three mounting options, either with Welded Feet, with Cast
Feet or with Wall Brackets.
• With Wall brackets you have the freedom to position your Ancona at any height - see page 59 / 137.
• Cast feet give the finished radiator a traditional look - see page 56 / 137.
• Welded feet will give you a more contemporary feel - see page 57 / 137.
• Select required option and add to section price; see tables on page 137.
Stock Ancona’s: Can be supplied in one of three mounting options, either with Slip on Welded Feet, Cast Feet or with Wall
Brackets. All mounting options are supplied with the necessary number of wall ties.
7 - Choose your colour
Made to Order Ancona’s: Your Ancona can be supplied in any one of the 188 RAL colours or 11 special finishes from Colour
Group 9, see page 55 for more information on colour options. Stock Ancona’s: Available in RAL 9010 only.
8 - Place your order
Made to Order Ancona’s: Place your order using the product code x No. of sections needed & noting the mounting option and
the colour e.g; ANCO3C90 X 12 Sections with Cast Feet in RAL 9005 (or white)
Stock Ancona’s: When placing your order for Sectional Stock Ancona use the product code x No. of sections needed & noting the
