NOW THE TIME
IS RIGHT
Who would know, a company I never heard of would change my
life! A friend, Carol Newberry, asked if I would try a Swiss formulated
anti-aging skin care product, the RE 9® , for three days and compare it to
what I was using. I couldn’t believe how my skin felt! It felt as though my
face had actually taken a drink of water for the very first time – so fresh,
clean and hydrated – and I received those results in only three days! I
thought I was happy using my other skin care products until I tried the
RE 9® . I was sure this product would be more expensive than was available
in the comparison marketplace and in fact was surprised how
affordable it was. I was so excited to let Carol know how much I loved
the products and that I couldn’t wait to share it with all of my friends!
Carol then asked if I would consider Arbonne as a business. Already
busy with our three children, Alexa, 13, George, 11 and Dimitri, 9,
there was no way I would even consider adding something to my plate.
How could I? All three kids were involved in travel soccer, schoolwork
and their schedules; I absolutely knew that my time was already at its
max. I was not “looking” for anything to do. I thought there was no
way I would have time for this, and be successful at it. I had always
wanted a business of my own, but knew that it would not be possible.
I was not in the position to trade time for money. We are too familiar
with that as my husband, Bobby, is a dentist who runs his own private
practice. When he takes a vacation, or time away from the office, he
is not getting paid. Also start up costs of a business are exuberant and
a huge risk to take. As a stay-at-home mom, who would be there with
the kids? I told Carol thanks for thinking of me, but the time wasn’t
right for me. I told her I would be happy to refer her to my friends. She
pointed out to me, “well, if you have time to do that for me, you might
as well do it for yourself and get paid for it!” Carol said I could weave

Consultants. Skeptical at first, I thought this was too good to be true. Then
I listened to an opportunity call with ENVP Kristi Sivigliano. Intrigued by
everything she had to say, I felt as though she was speaking directly to
me. Kristi asked a question: “What do you see yourself doing in five
years? Where will you be and will you be happy doing it?” The past
5 years had just flown by and I knew that the next 5 years were quickly
coming and going. I was caught in the rat race of life and knew that
unless I decided to make a change, nothing would be different.
Knowing the timings and trends in society and having the ability to
leverage time, I thought that Arbonne may be a fit for me to not only feel
independent, but have the potential to make a difference in our family’s
financial future. I decided that now the time was right for Arbonne! I
did not want to ever wonder, “what if I had started a business with
Arbonne?” I told myself that this would work. I could see the success of
the team and decided to join in rather than watch it go by me. What
did I have to lose? Not only could I share incredible products and an
opportunity with my friends, but I would have fun doing it.
I started my business on June 20, 2006. With the support of my upline
and my amazing team, we went Region after 10 months. I am just as
excited today as I was the first day I started my business. I love what I
do! I have grown personally and have become a better mom and wife.
I have made some amazing friendships along the way and know that
there are still people out there whose life Arbonne can change. Some
of those people I have not even met yet!

whatever it is I want.
To my Why: Alexa, George and Dimitri, you three are my life, my heart
and soul. I love you so much! I am doing this for you. I want to thank
you for stepping up and helping one another when I was not home. I
know I have asked a lot from you and I realize at times it has been difficult,
but you all did your best to understand. I am so proud of all of you.
Bobby, thanks for your continued encouragement. This is just beginning.
I cannot wait to see you as my cabana boy. The best is yet to be!
