"Ofek" Forum for Involvement
and Influence in Security and
Society Issues
This small forum is composed of students in
the Ofek program and personnel from
the security forces who explore and promote
ideas related to Israeli security and
discuss security and social dilemmas in order
to develop high-quality leadership among the
security forces. The forum is directed by IDC
Herzliya's Provost, Prof. Rafi Melnick. For

Government Related Internships
Internship opportunities for second and
third-year students in the Lauder School of
Government, Diplomacy and Strategy are
available at a variety of government offices
and at organizations active in relevant
fields. The internships offered by the school
provide students with the opportunity to
obtain practical experience in the public
sector, opening the door for them to
pursue a career in this field in the

IDC Herzliya's Sports Devpartment*
The students at IDC Herzliya have the
opportunity to participate in a wide variety of
athletic activities through the 30 sports teams
which IDC Herzliya fields. The highly ranked
teams compete within the Academic Sport
Association (ASA) Games and tournaments
in a variety of sports take place at the IDC
Herzliya campus throughout the academic
year. IDC Herzliya’s membership in ASA also
allows student athletes to enjoy additional team
sports, such as mini-soccer, basketball,
volleyball and handball, and individual sports,
such as windsurfing, tennis, swimming,
judo, fencing, karate, chess, track and field,
gymnastics and dance. For additional
