Dean of <strong>Student</strong> Affairs<br />
Dr. Yitzhak Oron, The dean of student affairs deals with a<br />
wide spectrum of general and personal problems that<br />
students might encounter and takes every action within<br />
his power to resolve them. The following matters, among<br />
others, fall under the dean’s jurisdiction: <strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong><br />
scholarships that are based on financial need; and<br />
assistance for students with learning disabilities and other<br />
special-needs groups such as new immigrants and<br />
students with physical disabilities. The dean also handles<br />
issues related to reserve duty (e.g. requests to shorten or<br />
postpone reserve duty) and oversees the department that<br />
assists students who perform reserve duty, the<br />
Psychological Counseling Service and the Study Skills<br />
Center. He also helps students deal with personal<br />
(non-academic) problems. In addition, he serves as a<br />
commissioner of student complaints, receiving and<br />
addressing any complaints students may want to make<br />
regarding any aspect of <strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong>. You can contact by<br />

Psychological Counseling Service<br />
<strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong>’s Psychological Counseling Service is<br />
designed to promote the health and wellbeing of its<br />
students. It provides professional individual counseling<br />
services for academic and personal dilemmas, anxieties<br />
and distress. The service is provided free of charge.<br />
