The BID honors Cops Of The Year LES BID photo happens when the BID and our businesses work hand-in-hand to promote the neighborhood. We also hosted three of our own Third Thursdays at our Visitor Center. These included two terrific photographers – Brian Rose and A. Jesse Jiryu Davis – with Brian’s exhibit featuring before and after pictures of the Lower East Side and Jesse’s featuring black and white pictures of random Lower East Siders. A third opening featured the great artwork of Antonella Iuri, who is also the manager of the Blue Moon Hotel on Orchard Street. As everyone knows, fashion is integral to the fabric of the Lower East Side business community, so to promote our great fashion retailers we hosted on our own fashion event, and this year, we went outdoors. Fashion Forward, held outside on Broome Street, presented 40 looks from many of our great merchants including By Robert James, Earnest Sewn, Ben Freedman Gents, Epaulet, Sunkfunk and Adrienne’s Bridal, just to name a few. Additionally, we continued to promote the diversity of our community by having our third annual Pride Goes East festival in June on Orchard Street celebrating LGBT
