It is very important that the Christian who serves in ministry<br />

be respected by those who are outside the church fellowship.<br />

What a person teaches others to be he must be himself. If there is<br />

dishonesty, unfaithfulness, or inconsistency in the life of a leader,<br />

he loses influence over those he is trying to lead to God. No<br />

matter how devout, correct or sincere the preaching or praying,<br />

if our lives are corrupt our efforts will be in vain. Your ministry<br />

will never rise above your character.<br />

must always be aware that they are leading others by who they<br />

are, not just by what they say. The responsibility is great because<br />

the privilege is great. Jesus said, “‘From the one who has been<br />

entrusted with much, much more will be asked’” (Luke 12:48).
