When you do venture away from the Campfire here at the Radisson, you might want to take in the local sites listed below: ArtHop: Thursday 5:00PM - 8:00PM Art is alive and well in Fresno. Come out and visit galleries, museums and artists in their studios at this popular event the first Thursday of every month. Over 55 artist studios, galleries, and museums exhibit art and hold a reception on ArtHop night. See the brochure for addresses of participating artists, galleries, and museums. Gaming Opportunities: Are you an ―All In‖ kind of a person? Not far away, in downtown Fresno is Club One, an upscale card room and dining facility. Play Texas Hold-em, Blackjack, or if you are a novice attend Poker College in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Table Mountain Casino is a short 30-minute ride through the rolling foothills near Millerton Lake, and Chukchansi Resort and Casino is a 60-minute trip up scenic Highway 41. National Parks: Why not extend your stay and visit either the unparalleled vistas of Yosemite or the towering Redwoods in our magnificent Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks? Be sure to bring your camera for these breathtaking views. Restaurants and Shopping: Tower District Located just north of downtown Fresno, this art deco neighborhood receives its name from the historical landmark around which it is centered . . . The Tower Theater. Within a short walking distance of the theater are several quality restaurants and nightspots. Livingstone‘s Bar and Grill is a favorite dining spot for those who attend Roger Rocka‘s Dinner Theatre. Veni Vidi Vici Restaurante serves a delicious Italian cuisine; Café Rousseau offers great food at reasonable prices and outrageous onion soup. The Sequoia Brewing Company is a local microbrewery with a traditional menu. Fig Garden Village A short 10 minute drive towards the north end of town is Fresno‘s oldest and most famous shopping center. . Fig Garden Village. Situated on the corner of Palm and Shaw Avenues, this center offers a Carmel style atmosphere and has recently been expanded and renovated. Shop at Ann Taylor, b.b. Pepper, Chico‘s, Pottery Barn, William Sonoma‘s and more! After shopping, relax and enjoy a glass of wine and a bite to eat at any one of several fine restaurants. River Park A short 10-minute ride north on Highway 41 awaits Fresno‘s newest Mecca of shopping centers, theaters, and restaurants. The River Park Center engulfs both sides of Blackstone Avenue at the Friant Avenue exit. Favorite eateries, such as Claim Jumpers, The Elephant Bar & Grill, Mimi‘s and P.F. Changs highlight this location . . . and there are lots more!! Fashion Fair Also located just off Highway 41 on the Shaw Avenue exit is the Fashion Fair Shopping Center. Recent remodeling includes the addition of family favorite eating establishments, such as Fleming‘s Steakhouse, The Cheesecake Factory, as well as B.J.‘s Brewery. Shop at Macy‘s, Anthropology, Urban Outfitters, and Abercrombie & Fitch. Old Town Clovis If antiques and ―Cowtown‖ fit your style, visit Old Town Clovis. Boutiques, antique stores, local restaurants, and specialty shops line the old fashioned streets. Home to the ―Clovis Rodeo,‖ the city offers cute, quaint, and country all at the same time. 14

Welcome and General Session Speaker Ashley Swearingen, Mayor of the City of Fresno Elected Mayor of Fresno in 2008, Ashley Swearengin is a dynamic leader who focuses on building coalitions of experienced and capable experts to solve problems in honest and thoughtful ways. She has dedicated nearly her entire professional career to improving Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley. Mayor Swearengin took office at one of the most challenging times in the City‘s history. She has shown true leadership in working to return the City of Fresno to financial health while at the same time focusing on long-term transformational efforts such as downtown and community revitalization and adult education. Mayor Swearengin has also launched a major initiative called Learn2Earn to address the ―skills gap‖ issue in Fresno by promoting basic education and job training among Fresno‘s potential workforce to meet the needs of area employers. 15
