suffering in the cold. They do not find a solution (to this). If we go to Sultan Muzaffar we<br />
will get a solution there.” <strong>Miyan</strong> got agitated and said, “Go to Sultan Muzaffar and say that<br />
one of our brothers has gone astray.” <strong>Miyan</strong> Ladh Shah said, “You kill the mullahs. And this<br />
deed which you do, from where have you learnt it? From Allah, from Rasool SLM or from<br />
Mahdi AS ?” <strong>Miyan</strong> replied, “Everyone acts as per the learning he receives. This servant does<br />
whatever he knows.”<br />
75. Hazrat Mahdi AS passed away on the chest of Meeran <strong>Syed</strong> Mahmood RZ . Some people narrate<br />
that it was in the lap of <strong>Miyan</strong> Amin Muhammad RZ .<br />
76. Meeran <strong>Syed</strong> Mahmood RZ led the funeral prayers of Hazrat Mahdi AS , he gave the condolence<br />
speech (ta’ziyet), gave the bayan of the Quranic Verse, ‘Muhammad is no more than a<br />
messenger…’ 19 , placed flowers on and recited fatiha at the grave, and gave the first musht-ekhak<br />
(handful of earth).<br />
77. And it is evident that Hazrat Mahdi AS breathed his last in the lap of <strong>Miyan</strong> <strong>Syed</strong> Khundmir RZ .<br />
This reporter of this narration is <strong>Miyan</strong> <strong>Syed</strong> Meeran <strong>RH</strong> .<br />
78. Wherever Hazrat Mahdi AS constructed his hut, <strong>Miyan</strong> Dilawer RZ would prepare a place for<br />
him to sit behind the hut. When he sat for sometime, a ball of light (nur ka shola) would<br />
come over him very forcefully to an extent that he would not have the strength to continue to<br />
sit there. This continued for three years. After this, the announcement came, “O <strong>Miyan</strong><br />
Dilawer, the divine ecstasy (jazba) of Mahdi AS has been assimilated by you.” Then <strong>Miyan</strong><br />
Dilawer RZ got the strength to sit behind the hut of Mahdi AS .<br />
79. <strong>Miyan</strong> Dilawer RZ said, “I got a thought in my mind that I should meet Esa AS . At that moment<br />
(I saw in a reverie that) Hazrat Mahdi AS and all his companions had come. Later, Hazrat AS<br />
and all the migrants left. Then Hazrat Mahdi AS sent <strong>Miyan</strong> Nemat RZ and <strong>Miyan</strong> Nizam RZ and<br />
called for this servant and said, ‘Allah will not let go to waste the desire of His servant. My<br />
people will meet Esa AS and my spiritual bounty (faiz) will remain till the day of judgement.’”<br />
80. One day Bandagi <strong>Miyan</strong> Dilawer RZ was going in a jungle. He saw a grave there. Allah’s<br />
command came, “Stand on the grave. The dirt of your shoes will fall on it and I will give him<br />
salvation from torment (‘azab).”<br />
81. <strong>Miyan</strong> Dilawer RZ got an announcement made in the daira that when there was too much<br />
distress (iztirar) in the daira no one should prepare food by putting ghee in the vessel for<br />
frying (baghar). They should put the rice and ghee together and eat so that the fuqara were<br />
not troubled.<br />
82. One of the scholars came to meet Bandagi <strong>Miyan</strong> Shah Dilawer RZ . Hazrat RZ asked him to<br />
explain the meaning of this verse – “When the night grew dark upon him he beheld a star. He<br />

Apostles that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, will ye then turn back on your heels? If any did turn<br />
back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah; but Allah (on the other hand) will swiftly reward those who<br />
(serve him) with gratitude.
