dear wife and chiidren I received your kind letter and was glad io hear from you but I<br />

was sorry to hear that my father had departed this life I had rather you had went to see<br />

him before he died I heard that he was sick and tr de to get a furlow to come and see<br />

h m but fald my company officers rote h t out and sent t to the ginrel but he woldent<br />

assign lt so I cant come home now I have drown two pare of drawers and two shirts I<br />

have got plenty of clothing to do me sometim unies I have some cotton pants if you have<br />

a good chance you may send me a cupple of pare but I don't don't know of anny chance<br />

for you to send them I hant got anny nuse to rite you that wold interres you every th ng<br />

is quiet hear and still every thrng rs hie hear I can go to Savannah and eat a month<br />
