Our Goals for Your<br />
<strong>Orientation</strong> Day<br />
Here is what we hope you will gain from your first day with us:<br />
• Get a sense <strong>of</strong> the <strong>American</strong> <strong>School</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Paris</strong> ethos. We want you to feel<br />
immediately welcome!<br />
• Understand our clear purpose for teaching<br />
and learning at ASP – preparing every student<br />
to achieve personal and academic excellence.<br />
• Understand our commitment to a personalized<br />
approach in addressing the educational<br />
needs <strong>of</strong> each individual student.<br />
• Experience first hand our aspiration to work<br />
closely with you. We believe that a strong<br />
relationship between home and school makes<br />
all the difference for learning and good<br />
citizenship.<br />
• Familiarize yourself with how we use<br />
technology to communicate effectively<br />
and build community.<br />
• Feel confident that your children will greet<br />
their first day <strong>of</strong> school with enthusiasm and<br />
quickly set aside any normal fears or concerns<br />
about their new learning home.<br />
• Know that we are here to help everyone in<br />
your family make a strong beginning at ASP<br />
and within the <strong>Paris</strong> region. We have many<br />
resources available to you and your questions<br />
are always welcome.<br />
