Our Goals for Your
Orientation Day
Here is what we hope you will gain from your first day with us:
• Get a sense of the American School
of Paris ethos. We want you to feel
immediately welcome!
• Understand our clear purpose for teaching
and learning at ASP – preparing every student
to achieve personal and academic excellence.
• Understand our commitment to a personalized
approach in addressing the educational
needs of each individual student.
• Experience first hand our aspiration to work
closely with you. We believe that a strong
relationship between home and school makes
all the difference for learning and good
citizenship.
• Familiarize yourself with how we use
technology to communicate effectively
and build community.
• Feel confident that your children will greet
their first day of school with enthusiasm and
quickly set aside any normal fears or concerns
about their new learning home.
• Know that we are here to help everyone in
your family make a strong beginning at ASP
and within the Paris region. We have many
resources available to you and your questions
are always welcome.

I visited the Cafeteria table and
understand the options for my
child(ren) and/or cafeteria card
system.
(Lower School Lunch Program and/or Middle and
Upper School card system)
I have my child(ren)’s bus cards and
understand the location of the
stops.
(Only for families signed up for the bus program)
I have visited the Parent Faculty
Association (PFA) table to find out
more about community activities
and opportunities to get involved.
