Getting the most out of our
programme
Delivery and Attendance
Admission Requirements
The minimum duration of the
programme is two (2) semester and one
(1) special semester or one (1) year and
the maximum is eight (8) semesters or
four (4) years.
Classes will be conducted through afteroffice
and/or weekend sessions.*
The programme is offered by attendance
at University of Malaya’s Faculty of the
Built Environment, Kuala Lumpur.
The programme is delivered through
formal lectures, laboratory, tutorials and
coursework.
* Subject to finalisation by the
Management
Conferment of Degree
Upon successful completion of the
programme, students will be conferred the
Master of Facilities & Maintenance
Management degree from the University of
Malaya.
Programme Structure and Assessment
The modules, including assessment through
coursework, are delivered over a 14-week
period. The modules are assessed by
examination and/or assignment and project
work.

i. Bachelor’s Degree in Building Surveying,
Quantity Surevying, Real Esate, Science
Architecture or equivalent qualification with
a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of
at least 3.0 or above;
Or
ii. Bachelor’s Degree in Building Surveying,
Quantity Surveying, Real Estate,
Architectural Science or equivalent
qualification with a Cumulative Grade Point
Average (CGPA) below 3.0 and at least one
(1) year of relevance working experinece;
Or
iii. Other professional qualification from
recognized professional bodies;
Or
iv. Other qualification which is approve by the
University S enate from time to time
Or
Any other equivalent qualification as may be
approved by Malaysian Government and
approve by the University Senate.
Note: TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 / IELTS
with a minimum band 6.0 for all international
applicants are required with the exception for
those who did their tertiary education in English
