Facilities & Maintenance<br />
Management<br />
The programme aims to produce pr<strong>of</strong>essional in facilities management graduates who are<br />
creative, innovative and critical in the development and implementation <strong>of</strong> facilities<br />
management and building maintenance in the aspects <strong>of</strong> managerial and technological within<br />
the national and global contexts.<br />

programme<br />
Delivery and Attendance<br />
Admission Requirements<br />
The minimum duration <strong>of</strong> the<br />
programme is two (2) semester and one<br />
(1) special semester or one (1) year and<br />
the maximum is eight (8) semesters or<br />
four (4) years.<br />
Classes will be conducted through after<strong>of</strong>fice<br />
and/or weekend sessions.*<br />
The programme is <strong>of</strong>fered by attendance<br />
at University <strong>of</strong> Malaya’s <strong>Faculty</strong> <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>Built</strong> <strong>Environment</strong>, Kuala Lumpur.<br />
The programme is delivered through<br />
formal lectures, laboratory, tutorials and<br />
coursework.<br />
* Subject to finalisation by the<br />
Management<br />
Conferment <strong>of</strong> Degree<br />
Upon successful completion <strong>of</strong> the<br />
programme, students will be conferred the<br />
<strong>Master</strong> <strong>of</strong> Facilities & Maintenance<br />
Management degree from the University <strong>of</strong><br />
Malaya.<br />
Programme Structure and Assessment<br />
The modules, including assessment through<br />
coursework, are delivered over a 14-week<br />
period. The modules are assessed by<br />
examination and/or assignment and project<br />
work.<br />

assessment and enhancement <strong>of</strong> its<br />
hard and s<strong>of</strong>t services in fulfilling<br />
the strategic needs <strong>of</strong> an<br />
organisation”<br />
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Building Surveying,<br />
Quantity Surevying, Real Esate, Science<br />
Architecture or equivalent qualification with<br />
a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) <strong>of</strong><br />
at least 3.0 or above;<br />
Or<br />
ii. Bachelor’s Degree in Building Surveying,<br />
Quantity Surveying, Real Estate,<br />
Architectural Science or equivalent<br />
qualification with a Cumulative Grade Point<br />
Average (CGPA) below 3.0 and at least one<br />
(1) year <strong>of</strong> relevance working experinece;<br />
Or<br />
iii. Other pr<strong>of</strong>essional qualification from<br />
recognized pr<strong>of</strong>essional bodies;<br />
Or<br />
iv. Other qualification which is approve by the<br />
University S enate from time to time<br />
Or<br />
Any other equivalent qualification as may be<br />
approved by Malaysian Government and<br />
approve by the University Senate.<br />
Note: TOEFL with a minimum score <strong>of</strong> 550 / IELTS<br />
with a minimum band 6.0 for all international<br />
applicants are required with the exception for<br />
those who did their tertiary education in English<br />
