I have heard it said that getting to District is all about you, getting to Area
is mostly about you, getting to Region is hardly about you, and getting to
Nation is not about you at all. I am fortunate to have achieved the title of
NVP after nine months of building an Arbonne business, but really, this title
has nothing to do with me.
It is impossible to become an Arbonne NVP without an incredible team,
and I need to begin this story by thanking mine. I am so fortunate to be on
a team of self-motivated, entrepreneurial, energetic people who have
learned the art of duplication and know the power of building a network.
Without their efforts, none of this success would have been possible.
Prior to Arbonne, I was an elementary school teacher for seven years. After
the birth of my first child, I went back to teaching part time for two years,
but quickly realized I did not have enough time with my daughter. A defining
moment occurred at the beginning of the second year. I received my
paycheck and realized it was exactly the same as the previous year.
Typically, we got a slight raise, so I called the district offices to alert them
to the fact they had forgotten to add my raise. I was informed that part-time
teachers receive a raise every other year. At that point, I made a decision
that I was no longer going to trade my time for money. I knew time with
my daughter was far more valuable. I resigned from my teaching position
at the end of the year. Now, I have been home with my three daughters
for the last six years.
My husband and I learned quite quickly that the path to true wealth lies in
ownership. We were given the opportunity to start a small business, along
with my brother-in-law, father-in-law and a friend. We knew it was a risk,
but we are young and felt like it was a risk worth taking. After several years
of trying to make it work, we closed the doors, leaving us with a great deal
of debt. My sister describes the debt as the equivalent of a Harvard education.
Amazingly, it was worth every penny, because paying off the debt
was a big Why for us and the deciding factor that made me say yes to the
Arbonne opportunity.

I was led to Arbonne by my friend, ERVP Jennifer Prussa. I loved the
products and was buying them from her for six months, but did not
see the incredible opportunity right in front of me. It was at an inhome
Presentation that ENVP Lynn Hagedorn painted the big picture
of Arbonne, and piqued my curiosity. She told me three things that
made me want to hear more: We do not carry inventory, we can
build a business using the Arbonne=REsults reach out method and
anyone can become an Arbonne Consultant with $29 and shop
from home. I could see that fitting into my life. My biggest fear was
that I could not and did not want to sell anything. What I soon
learned, though, is that this business is not about selling. Arbonne is
about sharing and teaching. That was something I could do!
I jumped into my business with both feet. I found four people who
were also interested in building a business with Arbonne. From that
point on, I have helped them build their teams. Over the course of
nine months, four members of my team have promoted to RVP, participated
in the Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus Program and are driving
their white Mercedes-Benzes. A fifth team member is in qualification
for Regional Vice President. Each of them plugged into the
system, and learned the art of duplication. This business is about
teaching your team to do what you just did, and when your team
members realize their goals, you exceed yours. Wow, what an
incredible concept!
Arbonne is truly a gift on so many levels. I have heard it said that
the products will change your skin, and the opportunity will change
your life. I have found that to be so true. On a product level, you are
able to enjoy and share products that are pure, safe, beneficial for
the entire family. On a financial level, the opportunity is a way you
can have ownership of a business with minimal start-up costs. The
business is also an opportunity to create a new stream of income that
has the potential to change your life. On a deeper level, the real gift
is the personal growth you will experience. I am not the same person
I was nine months ago. Building a business with Arbonne will
stretch you in ways you cannot imagine, and the friendships you
make will be the reward you cherish the most.
To my incredible husband, Ed: Thank you for believing in me,
encouraging me, and seeing the amazing vision with Arbonne. You
are the love of my life. I would not be where I am today without you!
To my three beautiful daughters: You put a smile on my face every
day. You are the reason I have worked so hard to build this business.
I feel so blessed to be your mom.

been such a blessing. We are working like very few will, so we can
live like very few can. To my mom, AM Carol Epp: It has been so
exciting to see your business grow. What a journey it has been. I
cannot wait to see you sitting in your Mercedes-Benz and owning
your own life.
