This covers inspection and certification and other requirements for repairs and<br />

alterations to pressure equipment.<br />

<strong>AB</strong>-515 <strong>Requirements</strong> for Inspection Companies<br />

This specifies quality management system requirements for inspection companies<br />

that are required to hold a Certificate of Authorization Permit for integrity assessment<br />

under PESR section 11(2).<br />

<strong>AB</strong>-515a Inspection Company Authorized Scope form. This form is used to define the<br />

responsibility for key activities under the Inspection Company s program.<br />

<strong>AB</strong>-516 The Pressure Equipment Safety Regulation User Guide provides valuable<br />

information and guidance to assist stakeholders in meeting the requirements of the<br />

Pressure Equipment Safety Regulation and in assuring the safe operation of their<br />

pressure equipment.<br />

on www.absa.ca. Directives and bulletins issued by the Administrator and other<br />

valuable information are also posted on the <strong>AB</strong>SA website.<br />

Note that per the Safety Codes Act section 1(g), the term construction includes<br />

repairs and alterations. Therefore, all applicable requirements established in<br />

regulations for construction, such as registration of welding procedures, the<br />

requirements of the Pressure Welders Regulations, and design registration also apply<br />

for repairs and alterations.<br />
