Hi Hogsters!!
Apparently, June
has been a tad
wet here in dear
old ‘Blighty’. I
kept checking the
UK weather
reports via Sky in the Beach Bar in
Burgau, Portugal whilst sipping ice
cold beer ….. (on the occasions I
could be bothered to get up from my
sun lounger from the red hot beach).
“You poor things” I chuckled to
myself …… “Another cold beer over
here waiter!!”
But seriously, I have missed my
biker chums and of course riding the
bike. Somehow driving about in an
air-conditioned hire car isn’t the
same as being on the bike with the
wind blow through your tresselled
locks. However, I was envying Big
Tone, John B & the girls who were
200 miles further up the road at
Cascais—the 2012 European HD
Rally. A bit too far for us, otherwise
we would have driven up to join them
for a beer.
So, back to the wet UK. I’m
amazed that some of you actually
made it to the various ride outs and
rallies. Some brave souls actually
spent a night or two under canvas ….
madness. The reports are included
within the Newsletter, alongside your
old treasured favorite items.

This month we are featuring one of
our Ladies Of Harley, Kathryn
Middleton, who tells us her story
about how she started riding Harleys.
Good News!! I’ve saved myself the
cost of 2 breakfasts this month, as no
-one has given me a Pit Stop article!!
If you remember, we started this last
month and I’ve offered to provide a
breakfast for two if you tell me about
your favorite biker stop. Come on
Peak Riders, this offer is too good to
miss. Get those contributions flowing
in!!
I’ve not a lot to report on the
Jackson Biking Chronicles front this
month. My attention has been pulled
towards my 4 wheeled mode of
transport. My Alfa Romeo 156
Veloche Twin Spark with Selespeed
died on me at the airport hotel on the
way home from holiday. She’s almost
12 years old with 100,000 miles on
the clock, I was sure it was good for
another 5 years! It’s currently in with
the car doctor for a diagnosis, but I’m
expecting the worst and a trip to the
Knackers Yard is the anticipated
outcome. So I’ve bought a copy of
“What Car” and am doing my
homework ready for the dreaded car
hunt. In the meantime, Pooh and
Candice are getting the hammer. The
weekly shop is proving interesting.
Good job I’ve got a trailer for
Candice!!!
