The Alpine Club of Canada's Mountain Culture
Committee aims to celebrate the Club's relevance to
Canadian culture through the presentation of
literature, art, history and heritage, mountain related
science, and exchanges of ideas with other Alpine
organizations.
Currently under the direction of John Goulart, BVC has
been performing in the Bow Valley since 1999.
Productions have included Mozart´s Requiem, Handel´s
Messiah, Mozart´s Great Mass in C Minor, John Rutter´s
Requiem. Fundraising concerts every spring and fall.
Non-profit, volunteer-run, registered Society that
provides a voice for the arts in Canmore and the Bow
Valley. Objectives include: to celebrate and raise the
profile of the arts, create opportunities for the arts,
artists, audiences & participants, represent the diverse
interests and needs of a vibrant arts community, and
provide a focus for policies and issues affecting the
cultural sector.
CAAG´s mandate is to stimulate activities in all creative
visual arts and provide the vehicle to make the artist and
artisan visible in the community, to encourage and
promote professional exhibitions, amateur shows, and to
create workshops to heighten the awareness of the
creative visual arts. The gallery is located in the Canmore
Public Library building.
Seniors‟ Association offering a variety of activities and
resources for seniors, including the "Songsters" seniors
choir, card games, socials, teas, exercise classes, various
sports.
Academics and authors present deeper insights into
popular reading. Events are open to public; contact to be
added to mailing list for a list of books/presenters.
Mandate: To provide opportunities for community
service through guild activities by members who meet
and share their love of quilting; to teach and promote
quilting; to present quilting shows and exhibitions.

necessary. Produce two main stage presentations
per year. Active in theatre production and related
activities. Presence in Canmore and the Bow Valley
since 1978. Over 120 members. Other activities as
