5.2 Conclusion<br />
The current cop<strong>in</strong>g strategies aga<strong>in</strong>st flood-related health risks <strong>in</strong> <strong>Gambella</strong> show at least three major<br />
weaknesses: weak <strong>in</strong>stitutional capacity, poor <strong>in</strong>frastructure <strong>and</strong> lack of flood-specific policy. These<br />
weaknesses threaten the effectiveness <strong>and</strong> susta<strong>in</strong>ability of the cop<strong>in</strong>g mechanisms. It is imperative<br />
therefore to address these challenges <strong>in</strong> order to make the cop<strong>in</strong>g mechanism aga<strong>in</strong>st flood-related<br />
health risks <strong>in</strong> <strong>Gambella</strong> more susta<strong>in</strong>able.<br />
