Report of the Council for the year ended 31 Dec 2011 The Council submit their report and the audited financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2011. It discloses the state of affairs of the Institute. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY The Institute deals with the provision of services to members in the areas of management, development through training, research and consultancy. RESULTS 2011 2010 Shs Shs Surplus for the year 70,786,736 84,616,694 ACCUMULATED FUND The accumulated fund balance of the Institute is set out in note 17 of these financial statements. COUNCIL The members of the council who held office to the date of this report are shown on page 1. In accordance with the Institute's Articles of Association, two directors are due for retirement by rotation. INDEPENDENT AUDITOR PKF Kenya was appointed during the year and continues in accordance with Section 159(2) of the Companies Act (Cap. 486).
