programs to meet their spiritual, social<br />

and physical needs. Our primary goal<br />

is to restore people to right relationships<br />

Food service is for any person,<br />

man, woman and child.<br />

Community Outreach: Women, their<br />

children and families. Any adult in<br />

need can receive food boxes, clothing,<br />

furniture and light counseling. Community<br />

meal is served every day at 5:45<br />

p.m.<br />

Shelter for Homeless Men: Provides<br />

shelter for homeless men, including referrals<br />

to other social service agencies,<br />

and free evening meals served from<br />

5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. every day. Seventy<br />

Rehabilitation:<br />

Discipleship Program for Major Life Issues<br />

This program provides a long-term discipleship<br />

and recovery program for<br />

men who are experiencing life difficulties.<br />

Some of these difficulties may be<br />

brought on by substance abuse, emotional<br />

upheaval, mental and/or spiritual<br />

problems. The program seeks to address<br />

these problems by dealing thoroughly<br />

with a man’s physical,<br />

emotional, social, familial, legal, psychological<br />

and spiritual needs in a biblical<br />

foundational way. Forty-five beds<br />

available in this program. Population<br />

served: single men. Eligibility Requirements:<br />

Candidate is physically,<br />

mentally and medically stable, and is<br />

Moderately Priced <strong>Housing</strong> Unit<br />

Program: The MPHU Program offers<br />

expedited review and density bonuses<br />

to developers who build homes affordable<br />

to people within 80% and 125% of<br />

the area's median income. The projects<br />

must be located in growth areas,<br />

offer 15% of total units to the program,<br />

and are subject to 20 year affordability<br />

Community Development Block Grant<br />

Program: Provides annual grants to finance<br />

housing rehabilitation and public<br />

works improvements that serve lowand<br />

moderate-income persons in Sussex<br />

<strong>Housing</strong> Rehabilitation Loan Program:<br />

Provides home improvement loans to<br />

owner-occupants or landlords interested<br />

in moderately rehabilitating existing<br />

properties. The loans, up to<br />

$35,000 per homeowner, are made at<br />

a three percent interest rate for a term<br />
