to achieve self-sufficiency, reach and maintain<br />

Case Management Components: Case management<br />
and support services are provided to families<br />
to stabilize their housing and economic<br />
conditions, while creating long-term solutions to<br />
avoid crises and reduce government dependency.<br />
Crisis Alleviation Program: Periodically offers<br />
monetary assistance to those at risk of losing<br />
their homes and/or having a utility disconnected.<br />
Assistance can be up to one month’s payment,<br />
depending on individual circumstances. Call for<br />

Food Closet and Clothing Closet<br />
Program:<br />
By appointment only, we provide<br />
three meals a day for a minimum of<br />
three days to New Castle County<br />
residents in need, as well as clothing<br />
for men, women and children.<br />
Security Deposit Loan Program: An<br />
opportunity for low-income families<br />
throughout <strong>Delaware</strong> to secure new<br />
rental housing through the provision<br />
of one-time-only loans for security<br />
and/or utility deposits. Maximum<br />
loan is $800, with repayment terms<br />
tailored to the applicant’s budget.<br />
Loans Plus Program: A statewide<br />
program that offers an alternative to<br />
payday lending. Working individuals<br />
can receive a $300-$500 same-day<br />
loan with an interest rate never to<br />

by State Service Centers. Program offers<br />
one-time assistance to prevent homelessness.<br />
Ruth N. Dorsey Relief Shelter: A 46-<br />
bed emergency shelter housing<br />
men, women and families for a 30-<br />
