What do you like best about teaching:
Learning something new every day! Learning from
colleagues, students, staff, books, you name it.
What has been the high point of your career so far:
I have to say, receiving the award of Educator of
the Year. It means so much to me because it is
completely driven by students.
What would most people be surprised
to learn about you:
As gregarious as I may seem, I often feel shy and
awkward in crowded places.
What is the nicest thing someone
has said to you:
"I do."
What do you do when you’re not
working:
Spend time with family and friends
cooking, chatting, and just hanging out
enjoying one another’s company. I also
spend a lot of time playing guitar,
listening to music, writing music, and
just thinking about music.
If you weren’t teaching what
would you be doing:
I'd be a professional kick-boxer. OK, just
kidding. I'd probably work in restaurants bouncing
around from the kitchen as a cook, to the floor as a waiter.
I'd also play guitar in several bands.
