Day 1 Copenhagen Welcome to Copenhagen.<br />

On arrival you will be met and transferred to<br />

village to its heyday as the glittering capital of the<br />

Danish Empire, to its current position as one of<br />

the world’s premier design capitals, the stories<br />

Day 2 Copenhagen Today follow the Danish<br />

coastline and see Hans Christian Andersen’s ‘Little<br />

Mermaid’ and ‘Hamlet’s Castle’ before a visit to<br />

Amalienborg Palace, home to Princess Mary and<br />

the Danish Royal Family. Choose from the following<br />

Day 3 Oslo This morning fl y from Copenhagen<br />

to the capital of Norway, Oslo. On your Included<br />

guided sightseeing tour see the National Theatre<br />

and Oslo’s City Hall before a visit to Akershus Castle<br />

dating back from 1290. The remainder of the day is<br />

free for you to enjoy the sights and sounds of Oslo.<br />

This evening you will enjoy a highlight dinner at<br />

Holmenkollen, home of Oslo’s ski jumping arena and<br />

Day 4 Oslo <strong>Scenic</strong> Enrich Start your day with<br />

a drive through beautiful Oslo and make your way<br />

to the Bygdoy Peninsula, home to three famous<br />

museums, all of which you visit; the Viking Ship<br />

Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum (Thor Heyerdahl’s<br />

dream) and the Fram polar ship. From the museums<br />

continue to the amazing Vigeland Sculpture Park.<br />

Day 5 Bergen This morning say farewell to<br />

Oslo and set off on your drive to Bergen. Drive<br />

through the scenic and breathtaking Hardangervidda,<br />

Europe’s highest mountain plateau and home to<br />

Norway’s largest herd of wild reindeer. Continue<br />

your journey to Norway’s second largest city,<br />

the Hanseatic fi shing port of Bergen. Your<br />

accommodation is located in Bryggen, the most<br />

historic part of the city and a UNESCO World<br />

Heritage Site. One of the prettiest cities in Norway,<br />

Bergen dates back to the 12th century when the port<br />

was an important centre of European trade for the all<br />

Day 6 Bergen Today explore Bergen and drive<br />

to Troldhaugen, now a museum; it was the former<br />

home of Edvard Grieg, Norway’s greatest composer.<br />

railway 1,050 feet to Mt. Floien for a bird’s eye view<br />

Day 7 Balestrand This morning start your<br />

journey by train from Bergen to Mydral where you<br />

change trains and continue on the world-famous<br />

Flåm railway. Amid spectacular scenery and roaring<br />

waterfalls you will descend 900 metres into the<br />

picturesque village of Flåm. From here enjoy a<br />

gorgeous fjord cruise to Balestrand where your hotel<br />

is located waterside at the junction of the Sognefjord<br />

Day 8 Geiranger This morning travel alongside<br />

mountains that are home to Jostedalsbreen, the<br />

largest icefi eld in continental Europe covering 487<br />

square kilometres. <strong>Scenic</strong> Enrich Visit one of the<br />

most photographed and impressive arms of the<br />

icefi eld, Briksdalsbreen, where you will have a truly<br />

Norwegian experience and be taken by ‘trollcar’<br />

to the top for a spectacular view of the glacier<br />

and magnifi cent waterfall. Continue via Stryn to<br />

Dalsnibba for unforgettable views of Geiranger fjord<br />

Day 9 Geiranger Today’s Included excursion<br />

takes you on a cruise of the magnifi cent Geiranger<br />

fjord. Sail past the ‘Seven Sisters’, ‘The Suitor’, and<br />

the 11 hairpin turns of the famous Trollstigen, or<br />

Troll’s ladder road, for spectacular and unforgettable<br />

Day 10 Lillehammer Today say goodbye to<br />

fjord Norway and travel alongside soaring mountains,<br />

icy glaciers, and cascading waterfalls. Enjoy a visit to<br />

the beautifully preserved 12th-century stave church<br />

in the community of Lom before continuing your<br />

journey through to Lillehammer, home of the 1994<br />

Day 11 Stockholm Your journey today takes<br />

you over the Norway/ Sweden border and south<br />

to Karlstad located on the banks of Lake Vänern.<br />

In 1905 it was in Karlstad that the peace treaty<br />

between Norway and Sweden was signed giving<br />

Norway independence as a nation. We have a brief<br />

orientation tour of the city before continuing across<br />

to the east coast of Sweden and the archipelago<br />

that is Stockholm. Stockholm, said to be one of the<br />

most beautiful capital cities in the world, is built on<br />

14 islands connected by 57 bridges. The beautiful<br />

buildings, the greenery, the fresh air and the proximity<br />

to the water are distinctive traits of this city. Two Night<br />

Day 12 Stockholm Your local guide this<br />

morning will showcase the treasures this city holds,<br />

including the Royal Palace, Riddarholm Church as<br />

afternoon visit the Wasa Ship Museum, where the<br />

ornate warship ‘Wasa’ is now housed after it tragically<br />
