An incredible event
Floriade is a World Horticultural Expo hosting participants from throughout the globe. Staged once
every ten years in the Netherlands, from April until mid-October, it features exquisite exhibits of
the world’s most exceptional plants. They include all types of fl owers, trees, fruit and vegetables
as well as extraordinary examples of sustainable architecture not seen before. Sub themes of the
Exhibition include: Relax and Heal, Green Engine, Education and Innovation, Environment and
World Show Stage.

The endless exciting attractions include innovative and educational activities that daily feature
cultural programmes of music, dance, literature, theatre and visual art from all over the world.

local and international cuisine, naturally prepared. There will be international and theatrical

The Chelsea Flower Show
Take the opportunity to visit another world famous gardening event, the spectacular Chelsea
Flower Show. It is the most popular gardening show in the United Kingdom. Highlights include the
stunning centrepiece of the fl oral marquee and gardens created by leading garden designers. The
Chelsea Flower Show is very much a part of London’s summer social season and will be held in
the grounds of The Royal Hospital Chelsea from May 22 to 26, 2012.
