December 10 th is International Human Rights Day, host an event<br />
on this day to highlight the way climate change is impacting human<br />
rights – be creative!<br />
Sprint:<br />
Host an environmental and climate justice Human Rights Tribunal:<br />
Tribunals are responsible for investigating and resolving cases that<br />
involve human rights violations, in this case, related to the climate.<br />
The goal of the tribunal is to:<br />
To collate testimonies of the impact of climate change on<br />
the community<br />
To provide the platform for interaction among various<br />
stakeholder<br />
To influence negotiations and plans of action on climate<br />
change at the national as well as the international level<br />
To echo the voices of those most affected by climate at the<br />
local level –especially traditionally excluded groups such as<br />
youth and people of color<br />
Tribunals should include a community town hall portion and a<br />
written component including the following elements:<br />

Opening Statement: prominent figure head<br />
Community Analysis: member of Youth Council/College<br />
Chapter puts together<br />
Community Testimonies: Focus on one intersection of ECJ<br />
and Human Rights<br />
