D.S.O., F.S.O. or L.P.O. (SPECIAL ORDERS)<br />

The District Code number will appear in the D.S.O. space on the Certification Label for all units including regular production. Always<br />

furnish appropriate Certification Label information and D.S.O. Number, if applicable, when ordering parts not listed in the catalog. If the<br />

unit is D.S.O., F.S.O. or L.P.O. (Special Order), the <strong>com</strong>plete Order Number will appear in the D.S.O. space in addition to the District<br />

Code Number.<br />

IMPORTANT -<br />

Many parts and assemblies used on these vehicles may be standard or optional on other models. When the assembly<br />

number is known, check the applicable identification and cross reference charts for possible service parts. If not<br />

listed in this catalog order the part on a Special Order basis through your Facing Distribution Center.<br />

When ordering parts, always give the <strong>com</strong>plete part number.<br />

HOW TO ORDER PARTS<br />

In the event the part number is not known, the following information should be included:<br />

A. Complete description of part.<br />

B. Model, year and body type.<br />

C. DimenSion, number of teeth, size, etc., if possible, rough sketch of part.<br />

D. If applicable to engine, transmission, axle, steering, etc., specify type, such as 302 C.I.D. Automatic Transmission,<br />

Power Steering, etc.<br />

E. Advise how shipment is to be made - Freight, Express, Air, Parcel Post.<br />

INDUSTRIAL ENGINE and POWER UNIT PARTS<br />

Most of the normal replacement parts for 6 and 8 cylinder Ford industrial engines and power units are carried in Ford Car and Truck<br />

Dealers' inventory and the 4 cylinder gasoline as well as the 4 and 6 cylinder Diesel parts are carried in Ford Tractor Dealers' stock.<br />

To obtain Ford industrial engines and power units as well as parts unique to these units, order direct from authorized Ford Industrial<br />

<strong>Product</strong>s Dealers only.<br />

CROSS REFERENCE LIST BETWEEN MANUFACTURERS' and FORD PART NUMBERS<br />

A Cross Reference List to assist in the identification of Ford parts by means of various manufacturers' numbers which are generally<br />

known throughout the automotive industry is included in the 1980/loose leaf and reader transparency catalogs Form FPS 8473-A and<br />

FPS 8473-M. This cross reference list includes part numbers for 1964/ truck parts for all truck series for the following manufacturers<br />

or parts lines:<br />
