provides service to Charlotte, Collier, <strong>Glades</strong>, <strong>Hendry</strong>, and Lee <strong>Counties</strong>.<br />

Residential housing for people with developmental disabilities to enable them to live valued lives in the community and<br />
learn independence skills to assist with everyday living. In addition, Sunrise Community <strong>of</strong>fers non-residential including<br />
supported living, supported employment, personal care assistance, and short term respite care.<br />

Our center is a residential program with a minimum <strong>of</strong> 12 months commitment required <strong>of</strong> the student. During their stay<br />
here, they will experience (some for the first time in their lives) a strict schedule, personal structure, accountability to<br />
authority, individual mentoring relationships, and one-on-one counseling. They will also participate in Biblically-based Life<br />
Skills Training classes along with supervised work details which enable them to learn new patterns <strong>of</strong> thinking and<br />
behavior in personal relationships. Through the journey, they will come to learn to truly depend upon God, developing a<br />
personal relationship with Him, which is the only thing which can truly change one's heart.<br />
