COURSE DESCRIPTION<br />

The place of administration has come to be clearly recognized in every<br />

sector of human endeavour, as being the keynote to the success and<br />

indeed to the very existence of the public service. Administration must<br />

exist in any organization set up for a defined purpose or objective. This is<br />

more so in the realm of the state in which large number of people are<br />

employed at different levels of authority, but all working towards the<br />

achievement of the objectives of the organization/institution.<br />

The ability to coordinate many and often conflicting social energies in a<br />

group of individuals so adroitly that they can operate in unity is a function<br />

of administration. Administrative officers require among other things,<br />

interpersonal and group skills to make the most of their job.<br />

This workshop aims at equipping participants with that essential<br />

interpersonal and group skills that will help them render efficient and<br />

effective services in their organizations.<br />

OBJECTIVE<br />

At the end of the workshop, the participants should be able to:<br />

Differentiate between coaching and counselling problems;<br />

Avoid defensiveness and disconfirmation by applying principles of<br />
