The lever gun is a classic American
firearm – the rifle that helped build our
country. For many hunters, though, the
lever action rifle has never been more than
a “brush gun,” a short range platform that
simply couldn’t perform much beyond 100
yards. It wasn’t a limitation of the rifle that
caused that. It’s the ammunition. Blunt, flat
point cartridges that safely stack inside the
tubular magazine, but deliver poor aerodynamics
in flight. Well, I’m here to tell you
that everything you know about lever gun
ammunition has changed for the better!
That’s because Hornady has developed the LEVEREVOLUTION cartridge. LEVEREVOLUTION features
a pointed tip bullet using a soft elastomer tip that won’t initiate the primer of the
cartridge ahead of it in the tubular magazine – even under the most extreme conditions.
Because of the improved ballistic characteristics, these cartridges make your favorite
lever rifle a legitimate 300 yard performer!

Also for 2006, Hornady engineers have refined our reloading dies with an ingenious
Zip Spindle that makes adjusting dies faster and easier. We’ve also refined our shell
holders and shell plates, case activated powder drop, and there’s an improved
handheld priming tool you don’t want to miss.
