To prevent personal injury and equipment damage, make sure power is disconnected<br />

from Liftgate while installing parts.<br />

1. Stow the Platform as shown in FIG. 2-1.<br />

2. Disconnect power from Pump by removing<br />

positive (+) battery terminal<br />

connector and disconnect Power Cable<br />

(FIG. 2-2). Reinstall nut on positive<br />

(+) battery terminal connector.<br />

To prevent injury & damaged equipment when removing the ICC Bumper, support<br />

ICC Bumper with jack or fork lift.<br />

3. Remove the Pin and washer at the LH<br />

side of the ICC Bumper as shown in<br />

FIGS. 3-1A and 3-1B. Repeat<br />

for RH side. Then unbolt the ICC Bumper<br />

at the LH and RH side (FIG. 3-1B).<br />

4. Hang the LH and RH sides of<br />

the <strong>Underride</strong> (<strong>Kit</strong> item) on the<br />

Liftgate (FIG. 3-2). Secure the<br />

<strong>Underride</strong> in place with fl at washer<br />

and Pin. Then adjust height of<br />

<strong>Underride</strong> using the procedure<br />

that follows.<br />

! CAUTION<br />

To prevent injury & damaged equipment when positioning the <strong>Underride</strong>, support<br />

<strong>Underride</strong> with jack or fork lift.<br />

ADJUST UNDERRIDE<br />

1. The <strong>Underride</strong> must be positioned<br />

to the clearance dimensions shown<br />

in FIG. 4-1.<br />

2. Rotate the <strong>Underride</strong> (FIG. 4-2) to<br />

the position shown in FIG. 4-1. Bolt<br />

the <strong>Underride</strong> in position. Torque the<br />

1/2”-13 bolts to 85 LBS.-FT.<br />

3. Loosen bolt and lock nut at each end<br />

of tube, just enough to move <strong>Underride</strong><br />

tube. Rotate the tube up or down,<br />

and slide the tube outward or inward to<br />

the dimensions shown in FIG. 5-1.<br />

Tighten bolts and lock nuts to secure<br />

the tube in correct position.<br />

CAUTION<br />

When using electrical welder to weld on <strong>Underride</strong>, make sure the welder<br />

ground lead is connected directly to the <strong>Underride</strong>, as close as possible to the<br />

place being welded. Failure to comply can result in damaged cylinders and<br />

electrical parts.<br />

4. When the <strong>Underride</strong> is in correct<br />

position, weld the fl ats on the<br />

tube, to the RH and LH <strong>Underride</strong><br />

Support Brackets as shown<br />

in FIG. 5-2.<br />

5. Remove forklift or jack.<br />

6. Reconnect power to Pump. Remove<br />

nut from positive (+) battery<br />

terminal connector. Reconnect<br />

the Power Cable to positive (+)<br />

battery terminal connector (FIG.<br />

6-1). Reinstall and tighten nut.<br />
