Daily schedule includes chamber music rehearsals/coaching, private
lessons and chamber orchestra rehearsals. The students will have
the opportunity to perform repertoire studied in a final concert at the
conclusion of the camp on Saturday, July 26 in York Performance Hall.
Students will have the opportunity to perform in the state of the art
“York Performance Hall” on the campus of Anderson University.
GERT KUMI is a native of Albania. He has performed as a violin
soloist and recitalist around the world. He studied at the Menuhin Academy
in Switzerland and earned his master’s degree from the Juilliard
School. He is on the faculty at the Masterworks Festival in Winona Lake
and was recently appointed assistant professor of music at Anderson
University. He has performed as a soloist with the Shenyang Conservatory
Orchestra in China, Staten Island Philharmonic, Symphony of the
Lakes, and Masterworks Festival Orchestra.
TERRY LANGDON joined the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra
in 1979, holding the title of associate principal viola until 2002 when she
elected to move into the section. Born in New York City, she earned a
Bachelor of Music from Indiana University, and a Master of Music from
Yale University, and has studied with Georges Janzer and Raphael Hillyer.
Before coming to Indianapolis, she was principal viola with the Owensboro
Symphony and played in the viola sections of the Buffalo Philharmonic,
the New Haven Symphony, and the Aspen Festival Orchestra.

YOONHAE K. SWANSON completed her Bachelor and
Master of Music degrees in Cello Performance at Indiana University. She
received the 2000 Indianapolis Matinee Musicale Undergraduate String
Award, The Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition
and first prizes in the Kiwanis Musical Festivals. She was recognized for
“High Scholastic Achievement” at Indiana University. Yoonhae is an active
performer, including Richmond Symphony Orchestra as an assistant
principal cellist and a founding member of the 3 Beats Piano Trio.
NOELLE TRETICK GOSLING double majored in ballet and
music at the North Carolina School of the Arts and performed with Ballet
West. A graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music
in violin performance, she is a member of the Indianapolis Chamber
Orchestra and plays regularly with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
Having taught at Anderson University and Park Tudor School, she
maintains a private teaching studio in her home.
