Cricket, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Karting, Football,
Quiz Night, Golf Evening, Beer Run to France,
Sporting Weekend, Curry Night, Poker Night,
family events include Family Camping Weekend,
Diggerland, BBQ but the list is endless.
As we are part of an international organisation
we benefit from being able to attend other table
events within Essex as well as travelling to the
continent for the odd weekend away. These are
great opportunities to meet new people and
broaden your outlook on life.
Membership is open to men aged between 18
and 45 years, so if you live or work in
Billericay and are looking to breathe new life
into your social time then Round Table could

Billericay Twins Club
The club has around 100 members and has
been supporting parents of twins and
higher multiple births for over 30 years.
The Nursery Group is held at Christ Church
Hall, Perry Street, during term times on Monday
mornings from 10.30 am until 12.00 noon and
is a thriving mother, baby and toddler group for
parents with twins/multiples. Current
admission is £3.00 per family and includes
refreshments for both adults and children.
There is regularly a hall full of mums, nannies,
twins, triplets, siblings and the occasional dad.
There is a soft area with play-gyms, soft toys and
mats for new-born babies to lay/sit, and a variety
of other toys, books, activities, slides etc. for
toddlers. Expectant mums are also made
welcome as it gives them the opportunity to
discuss twin/multiple issues with other mums
who are in the same position.
The Club has a representative that attends
regular multiple birth ante/post-natal meetings
at St John’s Hospital to promote the Club and
from this source we gain quite a few of our new
members.
We meet up in the evenings on a monthly basis
for social get-togethers, which can involve
anything from bowling, cinema, dining out or
meetings at the hall with guest speakers or
demonstrators.
Our voluntary Committee of 10 meet bimonthly
and are very dedicated and hard
working. We produce a newsletter three times
per year.
Billericay Twinning Association
The Association was formed in early 1998
to promote and foster friendship and
understanding between the people of
Billericay and other similar communities
overseas. It is a non Local Authority
organisation and is self-funding through
subscriptions, donations and fund raising.
Formal Twinning Charters have been signed
with Fishers in USA and Chauvigny in France.
The Association is run by an Executive
Committee but dealings with our two twinned
towns are managed by two dedicated subcommittees.
Chauvigny is a medieval and historic market
town about 23km East of Poitiers in the Vienne
Department. It has magnificent scenery, in
particular the views of the five ancient chateaux
