Analysis Software
MEP-SYS410CB
The MEP-SYS410 is a turnkey environmental
monitoring system designed
for online measurement of important
environmental parameters including
temperature, humidity, photosynthetic
solar radiation and barometric
pressure. In addition to nurseries and
vineyards, the MEP system has also
been deployed in a variety of remote
or sensitive
environmental habitats.
The MEP wireless microclimate monitoring
system is pre-configured with
Crossbow’s reliable self-forming,
self-healing mesh network technology
(XMesh) which offers users increased
radio coverage range and extended
battery life. MEP-SYS allows for easy
installation at multiple monitoring
points while eliminating the need for
wired repeater nodes.
Compared to traditional environmental
dataloggers and wireless weather
stations, the MEP-SYS410 wireless
microclimate monitoring system
enables cost-effective online information
retrieval and analysis from an
unlimited number of individual data
collection points.
MEP network data is sent wirelessly
to Crossbow’s standard MBR410 Base
Station, which then forwards the
data to a RS-232 serial output for
both data display and logging via
Crossbow’s MoteView user interface.
In addition to a local host, MoteView
software can also be installed on a
remote PC using the included remote
logging features. A USB interface is
also available via an optional USB to
Serial adapter.
Advanced Users
The MEP nodes are fully
programmable and supported by
Crossbow’s MoteWorks software
platform. MoteWorks enables the
development of custom sensor
applications that are optimized for
low-power, battery operated, ad-hoc
mesh networks.
