Ideal for anyone wishing to undertake<br />
research into accounting and finance, you<br />
will learn core research skills for the social<br />
sciences, their theoretical underpinnings, and<br />
become acquainted with the data collection<br />
and analysis techniques used for academic<br />
research in accounting and finance. You will<br />

MSc Accounting and Finance<br />
This programme is designed for anyone<br />
who wishes to enter a career in the financial<br />
markets, either as an analyst or a pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
accountant, or progress to PhD research.<br />
The MSc delivers financial expertise with<br />
an emphasis on understanding accounting<br />
processes. You will gain insight into<br />
the accounting process within the firm<br />
(management accounting) and into external<br />

MRes Finance<br />
The MRes in Finance is ideal for anyone who<br />

research in finance. As well as generic research<br />
training in core skills for the social sciences, the<br />
programme provides a theoretical and practical<br />
grounding in subject-specific methodologies<br />
and techniques for conducting, analysing and<br />
writing up research in finance. On completing<br />
the programme, you will be competent to<br />
choose between research methodologies,<br />
including alternate econometric techniques<br />

This programme, established in 1973, has won<br />
an international reputation for simulating<br />
a city environment and providing unique<br />

sector. The content is constantly being updated<br />

meet the needs <strong>of</strong> financial institutions.<br />
Graduates <strong>of</strong> this programme are eligible<br />
for the Chartered Institute <strong>of</strong> Securities and<br />
Investment (CISI) Diploma and will therefore<br />

and Fund Management<br />
Designed for aspiring analysts and fund<br />

Analyst) pr<strong>of</strong>essional qualification. The MSc<br />
