Vigiflow Online for<br />

pharmacovigilance<br />

The validation of Vigiflow case report<br />

management system has now been<br />

completed and version 3.0 was successfully<br />

released in February <strong>20</strong>06.<br />

The Vigiflow web-based software allows<br />

seamless electronic transmission of<br />

adverse drug reaction (ADR) reports in<br />

(ICH) E2B format from healthcare professionals<br />

to their designated reporting<br />

centres and onwards to the <strong>WHO</strong> database<br />

or other destinations such as the<br />

European medicines Agency (EMEA) or<br />

the Food and <strong>Drug</strong> Administration (FDA).<br />

The majority of reports so far submitted to<br />

the <strong>WHO</strong> database via Vigiflow have<br />

been received from Switzerland. Brazil,<br />

Ghana and Morocco — all active members<br />

of the <strong>WHO</strong> Programme on International<br />

<strong>Drug</strong> Monitoring — are using it to<br />

send in their ADR reports, plus eight other<br />

member national centres.<br />
