Okay, this is not a general term but something<br />
I made up during my time designing<br />
products for one of the world’s largest<br />
fishing tackle companies. A scent bomb is<br />
something you cast out and allow it to drop<br />
to the bottom of the area you intend to fish.<br />
<strong>The</strong> scent leaks out slowly creating trails to<br />
what we call the fishing zone.<br />
What I used to do was to use a little plastic<br />
bottle, make holes in it, and place lots of<br />
cotton in it until it is quite compact. I then<br />
slowly fill it up with scent (at the pond) and<br />
cast it out to where I am fishing.<br />
<strong>The</strong> scent will be released slowly creating a<br />
trail to your fishing zone. This in turn attracts<br />
fishes to your zone and then to your<br />
bait. This has worked well for me.<br />
Do note that the scent will run out sooner<br />
or later and you will have to reload your bait<br />
as well as scent bomb with more scent. Also<br />
try not to break the scent trail.<br />
