Convocation<br />
Over <strong>the</strong> course <strong>of</strong> a few weeks this June, some<br />
10,000 U <strong>of</strong> T students converged on Convocation<br />
Hall, where <strong>the</strong>y were <strong>of</strong>ficially welcomed in<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
university’s alumni community. Joining this year’s<br />
new grads as <strong>the</strong>y celebrated this miles<strong>to</strong>ne were<br />
11 distinguished honorary graduates, listed at right.<br />
Earlier this year, President David Naylor noted<br />
that U <strong>of</strong> T is “privileged once again <strong>to</strong> recognize a<br />
group <strong>of</strong> individuals whose accomplishments are<br />
<strong>of</strong> such excellence that <strong>the</strong>y provide, through example,<br />
inspiration and leadership <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> graduates <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> university.”<br />
