Meet the makers at<br />
Walford Mill Crafts<br />
More than 10 local makers will be demonstrating their work in Walford Mill Craft’s<br />
courtyard at a new event on 16 September, Create 2010. Take the rare opportunity<br />
to see so many crafts in action, ask questions and purchase direct from the maker.<br />
Performances and recitals from a number of local musical groups and a children’s<br />
craft table will <strong>com</strong>plete the festival atmosphere. The Bistro will be open for<br />
refreshments. If you are a performance group and would like to take part please<br />
email info@walfordmillcrafts by 16 September. Walford Mill Crafts is a registered<br />
charity. This event is supported by Creative Dorset.<br />

oxFam NEEdS Your hELp<br />
The Oxfam Distribution Centre in Winton, Bournemouth has just acquired a system<br />
that allows them to list literally hundreds of books a day by scanning their barcodes.<br />
With enough shelving to hold 9,000 books the staff have so far filled a quarter of<br />
the available space. Books are selling fast, with titles flying off across the world as<br />
far as New Zealand. They now need your help as they need more donations and help<br />
with posting out the orders.<br />
If Oxfam can fill the shelves and keep them full the amount of money generated<br />
each year will be enough to fund development projects and help with emergencies<br />

On Friday 10 September, Bournemouth is hosting the first UK Business Book festival<br />
