If so, the University of Southampton wants you! The School of Social Sciences is<br />
looking for volunteers to interview for a study on the housing options for young<br />
adults. You must either be living alone or in shared ac<strong>com</strong>modation in the general<br />
Hampshire area. Everyone who signs up for the study will be entered into a prize<br />
draw to win £100.<br />
The project is funded by the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council as<br />
part of a programme of work currently being conducted within the Centre for<br />

uNIVErSITY arChaEoLogISTS pLaN rESEarCh CENTrE<br />
Archaeologists at the University of Winchester have established an important new<br />
heritage education initiative within North Cornwall. Dr Niall Finneran, Lecturer<br />
in Archaeology, is currently leading a detailed study of early medieval sites in 10<br />
parishes between Tintagel on the coast and the northern end of Bodmin Moor. The<br />
Slaughterbridge site is close to Tintagel and has links to King Arthur.<br />
“The discovery of a 13th century settlement in the region has put the site on the<br />
archaeological map,” explained Dr Finneran. “We are aiming to build a resource<br />
centre which will reach a wide variety of people, providing a study centre and<br />
museum, as well as food and ac<strong>com</strong>modation for volunteers.
