SAGE YEAR 4<br />

Higher yielding milling <strong>wheat</strong> than<br />

Conquest at irrigated sites. It has a high<br />

protein content. Reasonably resistant to<br />

disease with the exception of stripe rust. A<br />

tall strawed cultivar with weak to moderate<br />

straw strength so consider a PGR. Low<br />

sprouting risk.<br />

SARACEN YEAR 5<br />

Saracen is a milling <strong>wheat</strong> that has yielded<br />

4 to 5% higher than Conquest. Monitor for<br />

leaf rust and fusarium head blight. Saracen<br />

is short strawed with excellent straw<br />

strength. It has low sprouting risk and a<br />

high falling number.<br />
