GROUP OF TESTING LABORATORIES<br />
FIRE DETECTION, ALARM, FIRE AUTOMATICS<br />
AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS LABORATORY<br />
Carries out the tests of:<br />
fire alarm systems and voice alarm systems in accordance with EN 54 standards (temperature detectors with R<br />
and S index, autonomic smoke detectors, aspirating systems)<br />
elements of smoke and heat control systems in accordance with EN 12101 standards<br />
fire extinguishing devices control systems in accordance with EN 12094 standards<br />
elements of electrical systems<br />
and determines:<br />
strength and resistance to environmental, climatic and mechanical influence (vibrations, surges, single strokes)<br />
resistance to electromagnetic compatibility interferences (supply voltage decay, fall and changes, static<br />
electricity discharges, series of quick electric transitory conditions, voltagewaves, influence of electromagnetic<br />
field with radio and other frequencies)<br />
trip threshold for all types of fire detectors<br />
usability of detectors for detecting test fires<br />
full functionality of fire signaling and automatics equipment<br />
properties of electric fittings in buildings and electrical installations, including:<br />
– electric strength and resistance of insulation<br />
– surface resistance, volume resistance and resistance to earth<br />
– continuity of electric circuit<br />
– mechanical strength of cable ducts<br />
– IP protection level<br />
– electrostatic properties floors<br />
