FIRE DETECTION, ALARM, FIRE AUTOMATICS
AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS LABORATORY
Carries out the tests of:
fire alarm systems and voice alarm systems in accordance with EN 54 standards (temperature detectors with R
and S index, autonomic smoke detectors, aspirating systems)
elements of smoke and heat control systems in accordance with EN 12101 standards
fire extinguishing devices control systems in accordance with EN 12094 standards
elements of electrical systems
and determines:
strength and resistance to environmental, climatic and mechanical influence (vibrations, surges, single strokes)
resistance to electromagnetic compatibility interferences (supply voltage decay, fall and changes, static
electricity discharges, series of quick electric transitory conditions, voltagewaves, influence of electromagnetic
field with radio and other frequencies)
trip threshold for all types of fire detectors
usability of detectors for detecting test fires
full functionality of fire signaling and automatics equipment
properties of electric fittings in buildings and electrical installations, including:
– electric strength and resistance of insulation
– surface resistance, volume resistance and resistance to earth
– continuity of electric circuit
– mechanical strength of cable ducts
– IP protection level
– electrostatic properties floors
