Training and Workforce Development<br />

LANDMAN Seminar<br />

We’re <strong>of</strong>fering training for new and experienced landmen and people<br />

interested in becoming landmen. This course will include information<br />

about oil and gas real estate law, contracts, titles, landowner negotiation,<br />

and upstream and downstream <strong>of</strong> the lease. This course focuses on the<br />

legal and ethical aspects <strong>of</strong> procuring lease land for the exploration and<br />

development in Pennsylvania and the entire Appalachian Basin.<br />

The instructors for this course are an associate <strong>of</strong> Steptoe and Johnson<br />

Attorneys at Law, LLC and Jim Macfarlane <strong>of</strong> Minard Run Oil. This<br />

class will provide AAPL Continuing Education Credits. (Overnight<br />

OSHA Mini-Safety Series – Back by Popular Demand!<br />

These short classes are topic-focused seminars that cover one to two<br />

specific safety areas that may be <strong>of</strong> interest to many industry clusters,<br />

including oil and gas, health care and construction. These sessions are<br />

designed for supervisors and safety directors to enhance your ability to<br />

keep your people safe and in compliance with OSHA regulations.<br />

These classes are designed and provided through an alliance between<br />

Pitt-<strong>Bradford</strong> and the OSHA Erie Office.<br />

• Nursing Home and Residential Care Facilities NEP<br />

The National Emphasis Program (NEP) for Nursing Homes and<br />

Residential Care Facilities will include NEP background, inspection<br />

procedures, training components, and resident-handling issues.<br />

Workplace violence and ergonomic issues will round out the topics.<br />

Part 2: Information on Globally Harmonized Systems <strong>of</strong><br />

Classification and Labeling <strong>of</strong> Chemicals, along with (2nd Half)<br />

communication standards, implementation timeframes and<br />

This course is an introduction to QuickBooks to give you its basic features<br />

information you need to track in your business or on the job, and you’ll see<br />

how to enter that information and track it in QuickBooks. By the time you<br />

complete this course, you’ll have a good idea <strong>of</strong> all that QuickBooks <strong>of</strong>fers,<br />

This course will cover basic Excel screen overview, understanding<br />

This will be a fun-filled, fast-paced course.<br />
