Social Club<br />
Social Club is a program for developmentally delayed adults. We <strong>of</strong>fer a<br />
variety <strong>of</strong> special activities, educational opportunities, events, snacks, a place<br />
to socialize and monthly dances. This is a great place to come hang out meet<br />
new friends and see the old ones! Registration form must be completed prior<br />
to participation.<br />
Age: 18 & over<br />

Fee: Free, except dances - $4 per person (dance 3rd Sat <strong>of</strong> month)<br />

This art program is for developmentally disabled adults. Our classes allow your<br />
creativity to come forward through the media <strong>of</strong> drawing, painting, watercolors<br />
and other crafts. Donations <strong>of</strong> art supplies are most welcome.<br />

“Lose the Training Wheels” Bike Clinic<br />
Learn the skills needed to ride a conventional two-wheeled bike without training<br />
wheels! This 5-day clinic will use specially designed bikes that gradually<br />
teach the skill <strong>of</strong> balancing on two wheels. Volunteers will help to ensure a<br />
safe experience. Course utilizes the national “Lose the Training Wheels” program.<br />

Hosted by the Arc <strong>of</strong> SW Washington and Life Works.<br />

The practice schedule will be set at this meeting and sign up night for<br />
everyone who is interested in playing this summer. Bring your glove and<br />
gear for practice after the meeting.<br />

Special Olympics Golf<br />
Come on out and take a swing at Golf! All equipment provided and no experience<br />
is needed. All athletes must have a current physical form on file. Please<br />
register by calling <strong>Longview</strong> Recreation at 442-5400.<br />

Car Show to benefit Special Olympics<br />
If you like really cool cars then this event is for you! Come on out to see all the<br />
various vehicles at this Special Olympic fundraiser. There will be raffle<br />
drawings, t-shirts for sale and food for purchase. Kid activities and fun! If you<br />
would like to enter your car call the Recreation <strong>of</strong>fice at 442-5400.<br />
