Participant Initiated Refunds<br />

Don’t Delay<br />

We depend on your enrollment for a successful class! Please<br />

plan your schedule carefully to avoid the need to request a<br />

refund. Refunds are not issued when your request is less than<br />

three business days before the starting date <strong>of</strong> the class. Participant<br />

initiated refund requests must be made in writing three<br />

business days before the class start date. A $5 processing fee<br />

per activity for each person will be assessed. Sorry, no refunds<br />

after three business days prior to the class start date. This is due<br />

to financial commitments we must make before activities begin.<br />

A Refund Request Form is available at the Recreation Office.<br />

No participant initiated refunds are available for one day classes,<br />

team athletics, trips or special events.<br />

Department Refunds<br />

& Satisfaction Guarantee<br />

Full refunds will be issued for any program cancelled by<br />

<strong>Longview</strong> Recreation or you may choose to be enrolled in<br />

another class. If after your first class you are not completely<br />

satisfied with your experience, we will refund your full registration<br />

fee. After the second class refunds will not be issued. Satisfaction<br />

guarantee does not apply to one day classes, team athletics, trips<br />

or special events. To request a satisfaction guarantee refund, a<br />

written request must be received at the Recreation Office after<br />

the first class but before the second class. A Refund Request<br />

Form is available at the Recreation Office for your convenience.<br />

Advisory Meetings<br />

The Parks and Recreation Advisory<br />

Board are <strong>Longview</strong> residents who volunteer<br />

time for the preservation and<br />

development <strong>of</strong> parks, leisure facilities,<br />

and recreation programs for the community.<br />

Meetings are held at 7 pm on<br />

the third Monday <strong>of</strong> each month at the<br />

Recreation Office.<br />

We have taken many steps to ensure the<br />

security <strong>of</strong> your online transaction that<br />

provide is only made available to the<br />

appropriate personnel in the city and not<br />

shared with any other agency, public or<br />

Pre Registration<br />

Required<br />

Pre-registration is required for classes<br />

unless noted. Many classes fill up quickly<br />

so register early to help ensure that you<br />

or your child will not be disappointed.<br />

Please Note: No first day “on site” or at<br />

the program registration will be taken by<br />

instructors.<br />

Resident or<br />

Non-Resident?<br />

A resident is anyone who lives or owns<br />

property within the <strong>Longview</strong> city limits.<br />

Even though your mailing address is<br />

“<strong>Longview</strong>”, this does not necessarily<br />

mean you are a city resident. Out-<strong>of</strong>-city<br />

residents pay an additional $5 charge<br />

per class or program due at the time <strong>of</strong><br />

registration.<br />

Financial<br />

Scholarships<br />

Financial assistance may be available<br />

for youth who, for financial reasons,<br />

would be unable to participate in a<br />

recreation program. To be considered,<br />

a child must reside within the <strong>Longview</strong><br />

city limits. Requests should be made at<br />

least five business days before the class<br />

begins. Contributions are accepted to<br />

help children that would not otherwise be<br />

able to participate in a class or program.<br />
