BUSINESS MATCHMAKING PROGRAMME<br />
This Norad funded project <strong>in</strong> its new avatar was started <strong>in</strong> <strong>2010</strong> with<br />
an aim of promot<strong>in</strong>g private sector development <strong>in</strong> <strong>India</strong>. This<br />
programme facilitates development of commercial relationship<br />
between Norwegian and <strong>India</strong>n commercial enterprises. In addition to<br />
partner identification, this programme provides a travel and a prefeasibility<br />
study grant. The programme is managed by Innovation<br />
<strong>Norway</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Norway</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>India</strong>.<br />

As per December 2009, more than 100 Norwegian companies have<br />
participated <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> programme seek<strong>in</strong>g <strong>India</strong>n partners. As a<br />
consequence of this more than 230 <strong>India</strong>n companies have been<br />
identified and contacted to discuss potential bus<strong>in</strong>ess opportunities.<br />
